About this model

C55 Engineering Conveyor Chain (model C55) is a standard item in the KEDI Engineering Chains range, with Family C55; Construction Heavy-duty engineering chain; Material Heat-treated carbon/alloy steel; Application Heavy conveyor / bulk handling. It is produced to drawing and standard, inspected for dimensions and hardness before shipment, and can be supplied alone or as a matched set with mating transmission parts. Material, heat treatment, bore and surface finish can be adapted to the application.

Tensile strength sampling per batch
Hardness of pins, bushings and plates checked after heat treatment

How to select

Calculate design power: motor power multiplied by the service factor of the driven machine.
Choose pitch and number of strands from the power rating at the small sprocket speed.
Use at least 17 teeth on the small sprocket; keep a single-stage ratio below 7:1.
Set the centre distance at 30 to 50 pitches and plan lubrication for the running speed.
Order chain and sprockets together so pitch, roller width and tooth form match.
